How To Make Your Post Share Themselves (Well, Almost)
What does it take to make a post shareable? How can you get more of your post shared? Why aren’t people sharing your post? These are all common questions that bloggers ask themselves at some point.
There are times when you have really great content, but if it's not accessible for people to share they move on. Click To Tweet Here are some tips on making your post shareable:
Share Buttons- Believe it or not, there’s still a lot of bloggers that don’t include a share button.
Floating Shares- These are another option for share buttons. They tend to catch the attention of your reader.
Limit Networks- You don’t need to have every social network out there as a link to share. Use the main platforms that you are on. Typical ones currently are Facebook, Twitter, Stumble Upon, Google +, LInkedIn. For me, LinkedIn is debatable depending on the niche of your blog.
Pinterest ‘Save” Hover- Pinterest drives a lot of traffic to blogs. The Pinterest “Save” hover button is very easy to install whether through plugin or code.
Image descriptions- Add image descriptions to your Media, as well as the Alt-Title. The Alt-Title is what shows up on Pinterest for the image.
Images- It’s a proven fact that post with images are shared much more than those without.
Tweetable and Shareable quotes- Using the “Click to Tweet” plugin is a fantastic feature to make it easy for people to share your quote on twitter.
Title- Great headlines will make people share without reading. (Not that you should ever share without reading, I’m just telling you what people tend to do..lol)
Content- When you write great content people will share it, as long as you make it easy for them to do that is.
