There are a lot of questions when starting a site.? What does it need to include?? Do I need a picture? What?s the difference in a page and a post??? Are there website pages I need to have?? What ?information should pages have on them?
Pages On Your Site
There are pages that are typical of sites, such as the Homepage, About Page, and Contact Us Page.?Below is a listing of those pages and some other common ones for business sites. Now that you know about some of the types of pages, let’s talk about what type of content is on those pages. (Understand the difference in Pages and Post)
?
Homepage– Include a solid call to action attracting email subscribers.? This allows you to start forming a relationship.?? Some sites will use a ?Start Here? page as opposed to a Homepage especially if they have a blog.? The ?Start Here? page is often a mix of a Homepage/About page.
Call to action– What do you want your user to do? Share a post? Sign up for emails?? It?s important to have a clear Call to Action that anyone who comes to the site can see and understand what it is they should do on the site.]
About– New team photos, action shots of people working
Case Studies– Clients, Testimonials
Services– Primary reason people buy your service with labeled headers to match.
Process– How do you work? What?s required of clients??Share this information so to set the expectations of how your process works.
Pricing– Some don?t like to have pricing information on their site, it can be helpful though to at least have a ?starting at? price for potential clients to check out.
Resources– Do you have a favorite resource that you recommend??This is a great place to give added benefit to your audience as well as to offer affiliate partner product suggestions.
Contact Us– This is exactly what it sounds like.? There is a contact form or email/phone information for how to get in contact with you. This page is important. People don’t want to have to search all over the place to try and reach you.
Don?t forget on your pages that you want to have a keyword for each of those pages that you make sure you use (in the correct manner).? Keywords/Anchor Text is a very important part of SEO and making sure that search engines get the information needed to accurately reflect what your site is about.
